Determined to stay committed....

I have been writing off and on for the better part of a decade. In that time, I have published quite a few stories and a trilogy. Something always pulls me away from my writing though, and so my releases are stretched thinner than I would like. I've gone through some dramatic life changes over the past three years though, and in those stormy seas, I've discovered myself. I still have so much more to figure out, but one thing I am certain about is my passion for reading and writing. And I am determined to stay committed to myself now, because in the grand scheme of things, that's what truly matters. 

I have spent my life in service to others, and I had thought I'd found the people meant for my life. But old me didn't know a thing about healthy boundaries, and what I'd really found were more attuned to parasites. If they had truly been my people, they would have encouraged me to chase my dreams like nothing else mattered, rather than create the nightmare I've had to overcome. Do I regret those experiences? Absolutely not. Like a phoenix, I had to burn to discover a new life. 

And this new life of mine...

I am putting me first.
